Trauma Therapy
You’re Not Lazy. You’re Carrying Too Much.
Trauma Therapist in Colorado Springs
You’re on the hamster wheel: work, scroll, sleep, repeat.
You feel numb. Disconnected from your life. From people. From yourself.
Your days blur together — TV, your phone, maybe a meal here or there — all just to keep moving. You’re not thriving… just surviving. Even simple things like eating, resting, or sticking to a routine feel confusing or impossible. Sometimes you use substances to check out, and when clarity does hit, you notice you're surrounded by people who don't nourish you — maybe you don’t even like them. But the energy to change anything feels completely out of reach.
You’re not broken.
You’re overwhelmed.
And your nervous system is doing everything it can to protect you.
It’s More Than Burnout — It’s Survival Mode
Maybe you’ve had this nagging sense for a while: Something happened in my past.
You don’t really talk about it. Maybe you’ve spent years avoiding it. Because every time you try to face it, it feels like too much.
And maybe you’ve tried talk therapy. For years. You’ve explained your story. You’ve gotten good at analyzing your patterns. But despite all of that, the anxiety, dissociation, and self-doubt still haven’t shifted.
Or you tried EMDR — and it just didn’t click.
Or maybe you’ve never made it to therapy, even though you’ve known deep down for years that something needs to change.
Now?
You're finally ready.
Ready to reclaim your life from trauma — even if you’re not sure how.
Trauma Healing Doesn’t Start in the Head. It Starts in the Body.
You’ve probably tried to think your way through this.
You're smart, reflective, and self-aware — and yet, the freeze, the disconnection, and the stuckness haven’t moved.
That’s because trauma doesn’t live in your logic.
It lives in your nervous system.
In our work together, we’ll gently help your body release what it’s been carrying for far too long — without re-traumatizing you or pushing you too fast. Together, we’ll reprocess trauma so you can build new, safe, and empowering neural pathways. And more importantly, you’ll start to feel like you can actually live again.
What Therapy with Me Looks Like
My clients tend to be deeply committed to their healing. They’re open-minded and often exhausted from trying to "fix" things with logic alone. What they want now is real transformation — to feel again, to be more present, and to reconnect with themselves.
In therapy, we focus on:
Increasing your capacity to experience both pleasant and painful emotions
Letting go of the belief that you need to “control” your feelings
Creating a sense of agency and ease in your mind and body
Learning to recognize your needs before you crash — so you can respond with care instead of urgency
We’ll move beyond coping and into healing.
You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through life anymore.
This Work Changes Lives
My clients begin to take steps that once felt impossible:
✅ Leaving toxic relationships
✅ Going back to school
✅ Saying no without guilt
✅ Eating and sleeping regularly without forcing it
✅ Finally understanding what they need — and acting on it
They begin to live intentionally and consciously. Not perfectly, but in alignment. They feel their emotions without drowning in them. They experience more joy, more presence, and more possibility. They stop just existing — and start living.
This Is a Safe Place to Be Human
